Weight management coaching — no fad diets, built around Indian food
Weight loss does not mean giving up roti or living on salad. Sustainable weight loss comes from a small calorie deficit, enough protein, good sleep and daily movement — with a plan that fits the food cooked in your own home. That is the thinking behind every Disha protocol.

Common symptoms
These are the signs people most often report on Disha. You will not necessarily have all of them — and some of them show up in other conditions too.
- Clothes feeling tighter than before
- Heaviness and sleepiness after meals
- Night-time cravings and late-night snacking
- Pain in the knees and lower back
- Getting breathless quickly and low energy
What to eat for weight management
These are starting-point guidelines from Disha's Registered Dietitians — not a prescription. Your actual plan is built around your reports, your medicines, your routine and the food cooked at home.
- Plan the protein first in every meal. Dal, rajma, chana, paneer, curd, eggs, chicken or fish. Protein keeps hunger in check and protects your muscle while you lose weight — which in turn protects your metabolism later.
- Start every meal with fibre. A bowl of salad, soup or sabzi first. Your stomach is already part-full, so the roti and rice come down on their own — without 'giving up' anything.
- Cut the liquid calories first. Sweetened tea and coffee, cold drinks, packaged juice and shakes — they carry plenty of calories but leave you unfilled. This one change alone takes off the first kilo for many people.
- Measure your portions instead of guessing. One katori dal, two rotis, one katori rice — use the same katori and spoon every day so the portions stay consistent. Home food also puts on weight when the quantity is too high.

Can Disha help me lose weight?
Yes. You get a personalised diet and workout plan based on your routine, not a generic chart.
How is this different from a regular diet chart?
Disha first understands you, your body, finds the root cause through your meals, sleep, hormones, routine and then builds a plan you can actually follow.
Will I get a crash diet or extreme calorie cut?
No. The plan is built to be sustainable, with food you already eat at home.
How much weight can I expect to lose, and how soon?
Most users see about 3–4 kg in the first month, depending on how consistently they follow the plan.
What if I have already tried dieting and it didn’t work?
That’s common. Disha looks at the root pattern — not just calories — and adjusts the plan to your real life.
I have Hypothyroid. Can I still lose weight with Disha?
Yes. The plan is adapted for these conditions instead of using a standard weight-loss chart.
Do I need to go to the gym?
No. Movement is set to what you can do — home workouts, walks, or gym, based on your time.
What if I live in a hostel / PG and can’t cook?
The plan is built around what you can actually eat there — simple swaps, not a full kitchen overhaul.
Will the plan fit Indian home food?
Yes. Roti, dal, rice, sabzi — the plan works with regular Indian meals.
What if I have cravings, bloating, or low energy?
Tell Disha on chat. She helps you handle it and adjusts the plan if needed.
I only want to lose belly fat. Can Disha target that?
Spot-reduction doesn’t work. As overall fat comes down with diet and movement, the stomach usually follows.
I eat out a lot because of work. Can I still follow this?
Yes. Disha gives you what to order and what to skip, not a “never eat outside” rule.
I am postpartum. Can I start weight loss now?
Yes, but it won’t be a regular cut. Disha plans around recovery, sleep, and feeding — not an aggressive calorie deficit.
I work late / do night shifts. Will a normal diet chart even work?
No. A regular 9-to-5 diet chart won’t fit night shifts. Disha plans meals around your actual work hours, sleep, and when you can eat.
Can Disha help if I want to gain weight?
Yes. There is a separate weight-gain plan — more calories, more protein, and meals you can actually finish.
How soon will I see inch loss?
Many people notice looser clothes or a smaller waist within 2–4 weeks, even before a big drop on the scale.
